In collaboration with Care for Kenya, Nolcha selected five female independent fashion designers to create "Nolcha Cares." The 13 piece womenswear is made by Kenyan women who have hand select the textiles and finished garments with microfinancing through Care for Kenya. Haitian Designer Catherine Charlot, owner of Himane, will show her one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories made from hand-picked, locally-sourced, and recycled materials. The Verona Alta Costura School of Fashion and Accessories Design graduate in Haiti will donate all proceeds from the sale of her collection towards building a new design school (the former was leveled in the recent earthquake). She will also lead a mission of twelve women to the area to bring food and supplies.
